UX Goals 2022-2023

 This is a post on what UX features I will be implementing into my website. I will be creating a site demonstrating recipes and foods. I am a big fan of food myself and I know others are too so this is perfect for anyone searching for some delicious recipes. 


“What I’ll be building”

 

For my final project site I will be focusing on the genre food. The site will be showing food recipes, how to videos,  images of the finished product and reviews. Some UX features I will be implementing are images and usability. 

 

1. Images – The first UX feature I will be incorporating into my site is images of the final product. I will also be adding videos alongside. I will be adding the images and the name of the dish underneath each image and when you press on the name it shows you a recipe of the full dish on a separate page.

2. Usability – When you go onto the site it will be “user-friendly” and have easy navigation. The path will be clear and you will be able to find your way through very easily. There will be use of white space and the ultimate goal will be making a simple usable site.  Usability will be important to keep users engaged and provide a overall good experience. I will be creating a experience to make the users stay on the website as long as possible. 

 

 

“Why build it”

 

I want to create a site showcasing recipes for delicious food. This website is for foodies like myself and anyone who loves or wants to learn how to cook. It will be easy to use and will have a clear navigation. I will be implementing a reviews and comments section so that people could share their experiences with how they made the food or maybe something they changed about the recipe. This will create interaction between users.

“How to build it”

 

 

1.Envira Gallery 

Envira Gallery plugin will allow me to create a gallery for images and videos and it lets the gallery load fast.You can drag and drop images making it a faster and easier process. I will be adding this gallery to demonstrate the type of food that can be made and the videos will have a step by step on how to make the food.

2. Site reviews 

This plugin will allow visitors to submit reviews with a 1-5 star rating. This will be helpful for others users who will go onto the site.

Migration : My final website was migrated onto InfinityFree using the plugin All-In-One WP Migration. When I got InfinityFree I downloaded WordPress and from then on I installed All-In-One-WP Migration and imported my files. When I imported my files I had my website domain and I could edit through InfinityFree. I had some issues with uploading my website as the hosting site went down and it wouldn't let me upload my files. I had to wait a couple of hours for it to finally work.
